New Book by Kenneth Barringer Helps Develop Healthy Habits that Lead to the Golden Years of Your Dreams
Tampa, Fla. (PRWEB) February 05, 2015 -- According to United States Department of Labor, the average American spends 20 years in retirement.
Having witnessed individuals making poor choices about their future, Kenneth D. Barringer’s new book, “Making Healthy Choices for Senior Living,” provides readers guidance for making these years a long and fulfilling retirement.
Barringer has an extensive background as a retired clinical psychologist and a volunteer, mentor and counselor for those needing support with mental health and relationships, including a professional consultant for the Coalition of Mental Health and Aging.
“Making Healthy Choices for Senior Living” encourages seniors everywhere to take an in depth look at choices that affect their retirement experience.
“Successful senior living doesn't just happen by itself,” Barringer said. “We are happiest when we cultivate relationships, express positive emotions and invest in preventative medicine.”
Barringer hopes to equip seniors, as well as entire communities, with the tools to develop the habit of making healthy choices so that senior years can be the golden years they have always wanted.
