Truman Pope brings nearly 30 years of experience to his post as Senior Director of Lettershop Operations at American Litho of Carol Stream, Illinois. Under his leadership, ALitho's lettershop has nearly doubled in size, handling multi-million-piece mailings for national brands and putting the finishing touches on commercial jobs of all sizes.

“When I started in this business, most of our work was done by hand. We have state-of-the-art equipment to handle many functions now, but people are still the core of our success.”

Truman Pope of New Lenox, Illinois has been named Senior Director of Lettershop Operations at American Litho, one of the region’s fastest-growing commercial printing and direct marketing firms.

Pope comes to ALitho from Specialty Print Communications of Niles, Illinois, where he also managed the lettershop team. He brings nearly 3 decades of printing and lettershop experience to his new role.

“When I started in this business, most of our work was done by hand,” Pope says. “We have state-of-the-art equipment to handle many functions now, but people are still the core of our success.”

Under Pope’s direction, ALitho has nearly doubled its lettershop staff, which handles multi-million-piece mailings for national brands.

The team also puts the finishing touches on large commercial printing projects such as catalogs and reports and produces cost-effective mailings for direct marketers who want to test new ideas before launching major campaigns.

“Lettershop workers handle everything that happens after jobs roll off the presses,” Pope explains. “That includes folding, binding, stitching, perforating and affixing special items like a game piece, a new credit card or loyalty card.”

Pope’s team also manages every step needed to get large mailings out the door via ALitho’s on-site USPS mailing verification service.

Direct marketers working with ALihto also benefit from in-house data analytics, trucking and shipping logistics, warehousing and more. All services are delivered through the company's 300,000-square-foot facility in Carol Stream.

“We've brought these capabilities together because we serve our customers best when we can give them virtually everything they need in one place,” Pope says.
