Former Oracle veteran and social product leader, Andy Kershaw joined Wayin, a Denver-based startup, this week to help grow the company’s strategic partnerships and expand marketing efforts.
Kershaw will serve as the VP of Strategy and Partnerships for Wayin, which is a social media analytics and display platform designed to help brands and broadcast journalists with real-time marketing and reporting. Kershaw will be tasked with helping the company manage strategic partnerships, develop analyst relationships and increase brand awareness.
“Wayin has an amazing SaaS offering that has immense potential and value for our customers, and I’m really excited to help tell that story,” said Kershaw. “I am honored to have been asked to create and grow strategic partnerships with some of the leading organizations around the world so that when we combine our strengths and reach, our offerings become even more compelling to our customers.”
Kershaw’s social technology expertise stems from his previous position as the senior director of product management and business development for Oracle Social Network, which is an enterprise social network that connects application, processes and content. In this role, he was responsible for strategy, product marketing, sales support and business development. Kershaw’s tenure at Oracle spanned over 16 years, and included a relocation from London to the United States in April 2010 to run the outbound product management for the Social Network.

Wayin was founded by Scott McNealy, the former Sun Microsystems co-founder and CEO. The company has helped improve real-time social media efforts for major brands and sports franchises worldwide, including the Denver Broncos, The Weather Channel, Best Buy and Rakuten.
