International Datacasting Security Technology Selected for U.S. Government Broadcast Network
Ottawa, ON (PRWEB) February 03, 2015 -- International Datacasting Corporation (TSX: IDC), a technology provider to the world’s premiere broadcasters, today announced a new contract award to supply the US Government in the continued expansion of its secure satellite broadcast network.
The broadcast network provides secure, high-speed, broadband IP connectivity as well as broadcast content delivery to US forces and government agencies in the field. To support the evolving deployment requirements of this program, IDC has delivered the latest generation of the Cyphercast decryption client, which will ensure the secure delivery of content to devices such as the latest laptop and desktop computers.
The Cyphercast decryption client employs the same Irdeto security technology that is integrated with IDC’s high performance satellite receivers, which are already in use to deliver encrypted data files and live streams to sites throughout the world.
“The Cyphercast decryption client offers security and performance that meets the demanding requirements of this worldwide network, and enables more rapid and flexible deployment based on commercial computing technology,” said Doug Lowther, IDC’s President and CEO. “IDC is proud to support the continued expansion of this important customer.”
