IASIS Healthcare Utah Hospitals Celebrate this Year’s Go Red for Women Day at the Heart on the Hill Event Presented by the American Heart Association
Salt Lake City, Utah (PRWEB) February 04, 2015 -- In observance of the American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women day and American Heart Month, IASIS Healthcare Utah Hospitals, which include Davis Hospital and Medical Center, Salt Lake Regional Medical Center, Jordan Valley Medical Center, and Jordan Valley Medical Center West Valley Campus, will provide free health screenings and participate in community discussion at the 2015 Heart on the Hill event on Friday, February 6, 2015. During this event, all community members are encouraged to wear red to raise awareness in the fight against heart disease in women.
The screenings at Heart on the Hill, which will take place on the 2nd floor in the Capitol’s rotunda, will include blood pressure, body mass index (BMI), glucose and cholesterol, ankle brachial index (ABI), and bone density. Also, hands-only™ CPR demonstrations will be held onsite.
Additionally, Dr. Ben Schmidt of Salt Lake Regional Medical Center will share information about the CPR in Schools training programs between 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in the Capitol’s multipurpose room.
