Find Your Furry Valentine for No Adoption Fee at the Stockton Animal Shelter this Month
Stockton, CA (PRWEB) February 04, 2015 -- As Cupid gets ready to make his appearance, the Stockton Animal Shelter is kicking things off early. For the month of February, SAS is hosting a “My Furry Valentine” adoption promotion. All adult (6 months & older) animals will be free to adopt. SAS hopes to empty out the shelter during the month of love.
To make things more festive, SAS will also be throwing a “Find Your Valentine” Valentine’s Day party on Saturday, February 14th, from 11am – 4pm. The shelter will open up the adoption promotion to include ALL animals; meaning along with adult animals, puppies and kittens will be free to adopt as well. If that’s not a good enough reason to visit the shelter on Valentine’s Day, the event will also have local food trucks and surprise guests!
“This is my first adopt-a-thon with the shelter, and I am beyond thrilled to see the Stockton community come out and save lives," says Phillip Zimmerman, the newly appointed manager at SAS. "These events have always been a huge success for us, with at least 50 animals going home in one weekend.”
"With the Valentine’s Day party and the month-long adoption promotion, our goal for February is to empty the shelter so all our dogs and cats find their forever Valentine,” Zimmerman added.
