New chef, new flavor, new hours for Prospect, KY sushi restaurant
Prospect, KY (PRWEB) February 05, 2015 -- Arata Sushi of Prospect, KY announced big changes to the restaurant, starting with the hiring of renown sushi chef Jeff Pandolfe of Tehachapi, CA. Pandolfe’s expertise has impacted the restaurant immensely as Arata Sushi has launched an entirely new menu. The menu features many of Arata’s specialty, and traditional, rolls; while focusing on fresh fish and the perfect combination of ingredients. The upscale sushi restaurant is now open seven days a week for lunch from 11:30am to 2:30pm, and again from 4:00pm to 11:00pm for dinner.
With the addition of Pandolfe, Arata Sushi’s menu received a boost of freshness. Pandolfe’s 18 years of sushi experience began on a crab fishing boat in Alaska, later interning for Maraharu Morimoto of the Food Channel’s Iron Chef Program. He spent five seasons in Jamaica where he opened a beachside sushi bar and grill, serving fare that he would spearfish earlier that same morning. “I believe freshness is the best ingredient” says Pandolfe. After Jamaica, he took his wealth of culinary experience to Denver, Colorado where he founded Sushimon. Jeff would travel to clients’ home or venues and prepare custom meals for special events – birthday parties, gallery openings, romantic dinners, sushi lessons, etc. “I love the creativity of being a personal chef, customizing a person’s experience just how they like it” added Pandolfe.
Arata’s new menu has over 20 specialty rolls containing more than 15 types of fish. In addition, there’s traditional Maki type rolls, salads and appetizers; along with very large wine and cold sake lists. “The Wicked Tuna Maki Roll will have you asking for seconds, I guarantee it” ensures Arata’s Owner, Paras Tiwari. However, if there’s nothing on the menu calling your name, Arata’s on-demand ordering will surely satisfy your particular pallet. “Simply say “Omakase” – it’s Japanese for “I’ll leave it up to you” says Pandolfe. “Creating and customizing to your taste is the real sushi experience, and that’s what we are about at Arata Sushi.”
Coinciding with the new menu, Arata is now open for lunch. “We’ll be serving lunch seven days a week from 11:30am to 2:30pm” said Tiwari. “Our goal is to deliver the freshest, most delicious sushi experience in Louisville for both lunch and dinner.” Also be sure to check out Arata’s upcoming Sushi n’ Wine Valentine on February 14th – a 5 course sushi dinner, bottle of wine or champagne, romantic ambiance, and handpicked roses for all female guests. “The Valentine dinner is one of our special events for 2015, alongside the upcoming wine and sake tastings this year as well” stated Tiwari.
