Prominent Software Industry Executive Jay O'Connor Joins CallFire Board of Directors
Santa Monica, Calif. (PRWEB) February 05, 2015 -- Santa Monica, Calif., February 5, 2015 – CallFire, Inc., the cloud-based text and voice platform that helps organizations market to their target audiences, today announced that prominent Silicon Valley marketing executive Jay O’Connor has joined the company’s Board of Directors. The company also announced that it has expanded its east coast presence by occupying nearly 5,000 square feet of premier office space at 10 Exchange Place in Jersey City to help support growth and enable new hires across a number of categories.
“Jay has shown his ability to take software companies to the next level, and his participation on our board will help guide us through the next evolution of CallFire,” said Ron Burr, CEO of CallFire. “Continued growth is a key goal for us in 2015, supported both by the demand for our product and the expansion of our team. The additional space in Jersey City will enable us to make key new hires and expand our team by nearly 100% on the east coast.”
Appointment to Help Guide Company’s Continued Success
O’Connor has spent his career as a senior software industry marketing executive with a track record of driving extremely rapid growth, helping transform young companies into industry leaders, and helping create multi-billion dollar businesses. He has served as the chief marketing officer and as a business leader at a number of prominent Silicon Valley software companies, including Blue Jeans Network, NetSuite, CaseCentral and Intuit. Currently he is an Advisory Partner at Morgan Stanley Expansion Capital, a growth stage venture capital firm, and he is the principal of his own investment and advisory firm.
“With worldwide mobile messaging expected to exceed $300 billion by 2016, CallFire is poised for tremendous growth with a product suite that fits squarely within that market,” remarked Jay O’Connor. “I’ve been impressed with the strides CallFire has made and I am excited to help the company continue its rapid expansion.”
Additional Office Space to Support Current Staff and Expected New Hires
With 150 percent growth in space, CallFire recently took occupancy of close to 5,000 square feet at 10 Exchange Place in Jersey City, NJ and will occupy an 18th floor suite. With views of the New York City skyline, CallFire chose the space based on its proximity to Manhattan, offering access to exceptional talent and local proximity to enterprise-level customers and prospects.
Expansion on the east coast is a key goal in 2015 as the company prepares to hire for a number of new openings including outbound business development and inside sales support. The Jersey City space houses a variety of disciplines including customer support, product, marketing and enterprise sales. The east coast office will also serve as a bridge between UK and west coast operations. Recently, CallFire acquired FireText, a UK-based company offering powerful SMS marketing tools to reach and engage customers. The acquisition has expanded CallFire into the European market and allows for a continued focus on communications platforms for both small and enterprise level businesses. CallFire is headquartered in Santa Monica, California.
