Fadó Irish Pub in the New Buckhead Atlanta Development Hosts 19th Annual St Patrick’s Day Block Party March 14th and 17th
Atlanta, Ga (PRWEB) February 05, 2015 -- The best St. Patrick’s Day party in Atlanta is at Fadó Irish Pub, in the heart of the new Buckhead Atlanta development. The 19th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Party at Fadó runs from March 14th – March 17th. On Saturday March 14th, Fadó is once again closing down Buckhead Avenue and setting up the big stage for an all day, all night bash. Doors open early for European sports including 6 Nations Rugby and English Premier League soccer, while the pub offers a full brunch menu and traditional Irish fare. The outdoor party includes a full line-up of live music, Irish dancers and bagpipers, a food tent, and multiple beer and cocktail stations. The Tullamore Dew signature cocktail, served in a “flexible flask” called “Paddys Day Fun Bags” will also be featured! And, on Tuesday, March 17, doors will open early for “Kegs n’ Eggs” at 7a.m. for another full day of festivities with live music and more! St. Patrick’s Day Super Pub Quiz, Wednesday, March 11, 8p.m. - An annual event that will test your knowledge of all things Irish! Pub Quiz prizes including $150 1st place cash prize, 2nd place is $100 “Fado Bucks” and 3rd place wins $50 in “Fado Bucks”. Always free to play.
Goose Island Beer Dinner, Thursday, March 12 - A dinner and beer pairing, featuring beers from Goose Island Brewery. Tickets on sale soon.
St Baldrick’s Charity Event, Friday, March 13 from 2:00 p.m through 6:30p.m.- An annual head-shaving event where the community raises money and awareness to help fight children’s cancer. Party goes late with live music from Bubonik Funk kicking off at 10 p.m.,. Fun Fact: “craic” is an Irish term meaning good times,” so we like to always say that this event is “great craic for a great cause”. Parade Day in Atlanta; Outdoor Block Party at Fadó, Saturday, March 14 - Doors open at 7.30 a.m. for European sports, English Premier League and 6 Nations Rugby. Full pub menu available all day. The Outdoor Block Party on Buckhead Ave kicks off at 12 noon and goes until 9.30p.m. It’s a full day and night of cocktail and beer stations, traditional Irish food, live bands and more. Live music starts at 1pm and goes until 9.30p.m., followed by an after party inside Fado with DJ Press Play. Live music acts include covers by Kylie, Josh Brannon Band and, local favorite, Justin. Plus entertainment from Irish Dancers and bagpipers will be featured throughout the day! Cover starts at noon. 21+ after 2 p.m. $20 on the door.
Family Day & Team in Training Charity Event, Sunday, March 15 - Doors open early for traditional Irish music, special brunch menu and English Premier League action. Kids events, including face painting, games, a bouncy castle & more, held outside from 11a.m. - 3p.m. Two sets of Acoustic Live Music with Paddy (Traditional Irish) from 4-7 pm and with Andy (Van Morrison covers) from 7:00p.m. - 10:00p.m. Guest Bartender fundraising event for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Team In Training from 1.p.m. - 4:00p.m.
Jameson Whiskey Dinner, Monday, March 16 - A food and whiskey pairing, featuring the best of Jameson Irish Whiskey. Details and ticket information available soon.
St Patrick’s Day, Tuesday, March 17 - Doors open at 7 a.m. with Kegs n’ Eggs. Full menu, including traditional Irish fare like corned beef and cabbage, is available. $10 cover charge starts at 8pm. Tickets available on the door. *Weather permitting, there will be live music as well as a cocktail and beer stations outside.
