Good Intentions Offers Medical Marijuana Consultations At No Charge
Chicago, Illinois (PRWEB) February 05, 2015 -- Good Intentions Medical Marijuana Services stepped up to meet the challenges of the newly adopted Illinois Medical Cannabis Pilot Program long before would-be entrepreneurs had a stake in the industry. In August 2013, Tammy Jacobi, a former registered nurse, opened the doors of her Ashland Avenue business, offering the first patient service center for Illinoisans seeking to join the medical marijuana registry program. Now, 18 months later, Jacobi is celebrating the Governor's decision to award cultivation and dispensary licenses by offering her company's services, free of charge. "Good Intentions has been mailing applications to The Illinois Department of Public Health, on behalf of patients, since September of last year," explained Jacobi. "We're responsible for helping nearly half of the patients that have received state approval. We mail hundreds of applications every month, and an increasing amount are on behalf of seriously ill children. We can't thank the Governor enough for making this a priority."
With years of medical marijuana program experience in Michigan, Jacobi and her team have created a network of physicians that evaluate patients' needs and sign Illinois medical marijuana recommendations when appropriate. "We have an enormous presence in the medical community. Physicians that want guidance for their patients, reach out to us every day" Jacobi explained.
Good Intentions services include: physician referrals, coordination with primary care physicians, assistance completing and mailing state applications, verification of proper documentation, in office fingerprint background livescan services and dispensary selection guidance. The Illinois Guide to Medical Marijuana Dispensaries is soon to be released and distributed, free of charge, at Good Intentions and throughout the entire State of Illinois.
