Elecard Devices, a Russia-based company developing leading-edge video/audio codecs and applications for consumer and professional video industries, today introduced a new version of Elecard StreamEye, the industry-renowned video quality analyzer and compliance checker that supports video compression standards currently in use - MPEG-2, H.264 and H.265/HEVC.

StreamEye v4.0 is the newest upgrade after two years of development. This is a great release with many new features.

“Features are uncounted, but I would say that one of the most anticipated is the command line utility available in v4. – says Andrey Posdnyakov, Elecard company president and StreamEye guru. – Version 4 brings the long awaited flexibility to accelerate the routine tasks and address specific challenges with a few lines of commands. The other prominent features in StreamEye 4.0 allow you to examine decoding pipeline stages and calculate difference between the pictures: decoded, predicted and unfiltered and to compare the difference against a YUV reference. BTW, the residual visualization is available.”

StreamEye v4.0 enables rich navigation to dwell deeper into the video data to retrieve detailed information about the stream, picture and block info, and visualization of slice and tile boundaries, partition, motion vectors, types, bit sizes, quantizers. The feature of video comparison allows for synchronic comparison of two files encoded with different settings in an adjacent frame mode.

The tool has also matured to being an effective standard compliance checker. It validates the video and lists the error messages with reference to the standard.

“With the extensive feature set, proven reliability and flexibility, StreamEye stands out from other industry known tools and serves its best for codec development groups, IC vendors, QA teams, content delivery professionals,” – said Andrey.

StreamEye v4 also includes a new licensing option for customers that require periodic access to the software and able to share the license between multiple people in a group.
