Kalamazoo, Michigan (PRWEB) February 09, 2015 -- Lake Michigan Mailers announced that it has teamed up with Miller Auditorium and the cast of the Broadway sensation STOMP! to STOMP Out Hunger! STOMP Out Hunger! is an initiative of the national touring company of STOMP! wherein they encourage communities to support the food and personal needs pantry of the Salvation Army.

STOMP! will be appearing at Miller Auditorium on Friday, February 27, 2015 as part of the Lake Michigan Mailers Spotlight Series. Lake Michigan Mailers has issued a challenge to the community wherein it will match the first $2,000 donated. “The need for donations of nonperishable food and personal items has no season, and many community food pantries find their ability to serve those in need is limited during the first three months of the year,” said David C. Rhoa, president of Lake Michigan Mailers, Inc. “It has been awe-inspiring to witness the response we have received from our regional community,” said Rhoa. “At our current pace of donations, we expect to be able to purchase nearly two tons of food and personal items for the Salvation Army,” Rhoa concluded.

In addition to monetary donations made through the website, nonperishable food items and new, wrapped personal items may be dropped off at any Fifth Third Bank location in Kalamazoo or Portage, Michigan through February 24, 2015.
