I'm sure 50 Shades of Grey will be a huge hit at the box office but we shouldn't forget that domestic abuse is simply not ok against men, women and children!
Park Ridge, IL (PRWEB) February 10, 2015
Sarantos' new rock music video "We Accept The Love We Think We Deserve" is an emotional piece about domestic violence that has perfect timing. While committed to this worthy charity, the music video pokes fun at how hard it is to find the love of one's life and how frustrating online dating can sometimes turn out to be.
Given that the 50 Shades of Grey movie is set to be released this Valentine's Day weekend worldwide, Sarantos thought this funny music video should pay homage a tad to this popular movie with a playful S&M scene. Of course, fans will have to watch to see what all the fuss is about but the reviews have been incredible and think "this is a perfect blend of wit, humor and taste while also driving home the overall message that domestic abuse is not ever ok!"
“This music video is light-hearted and I made an attempt at poking fun at how hard dating can be, especially online dating" says Sarantos. “I know people get frustrated. It can be a challenge to find Mr or Ms Perfect. The irony is that we shouldn't be looking for perfection but someone who completes our soul and allows us to be ourselves while helping us become a better person each and every day. I hope this song helps drive home the message that domestic abuse is simply not ok against men, women and children!”
33% of any music-related sales profits from this song are going straight to the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence.
The National Coalition Against Domestic Violence (NCADV), has worked since 1978 to make every home a safe home. NCADV works to raise awareness about domestic violence; to educate and create programming and technical assistance, to assist the public in addressing the issue, and to support those impacted by domestic violence. It is the mission of NCADV to work for major societal changes necessary to eliminate both personal and societal violence against all women and children.
Violence against women and children results from the use of force or threat to achieve and maintain control over others in intimate relationships, and from societal abuse of power and domination in the forms of sexism, racism, homophobia, classism, anti-Semitism, able-bodyism, ageism and other oppressions. The abuses of power in society foster battering by perpetuating conditions, which condone violence against women and children.
