POPAI, the leading nonprofit association for in-store marketing, announces BK Allen as the new Interim President along with a new slate of Board of Directors

Point of Purchase Advertising International (POPAI) announces the appointment of BK Allen as the Interim President of the association, effective immediately. Allen’s appointment coincides with the announcement of a new slate of Board of Directors officers, executive committee, and two new board members.

Vetted Solutions, a Washington, DC-based executive search firm specializing in association and nonprofit recruiting, recruited BK Allen as they search for the permanent POPAI president position. Allen has more than 25 years of experience in the real estate asset management and non-profit association business. Her last position, completed in January was with CCIM Institute as the interim CEO/Executive Vice President. At CCIM, she managed a staff of over 40 employees and a budget of $12.5 million.

She is tasked to grow POPAI and to not lose its forward momentum as the leading non-profit association for the in-store marketing industry.

“I am pleased to be at POPAI. I look forward to working with the leadership and to create more value to its members,”says Allen.

Allen will serve as the POPAI Interim President until April when the Permanent President should start. It is expected the position will be announced in March.
