Appointments: Avanti Group Solutions adds to its award-winning team
Braintree, Essex (PRWEB UK) 11 February 2015 -- Avanti Group Solutions, which is owned by Chief Executive Glen Smith (pictured), announced three senior appointments, at Avanti Travelcare’s Braintree Headquarters, with immediate effect.
Filling the role of MD is Mark Day (pictured). As Vice President of the Institute of Customer Service, Mark’s previous roles include Director for Customer Service at Simplyhealth as well as senior HR roles with the Automobile Association and HSA. Mark said “I am delighted to be joining Avanti Group Solutions as Managing Director at a time when both the healthcare and travel insurance operations are expanding and building upon their success. My own career has developed with creating and maintaining market leading customer service operations and this has also been the key to Avanti's success. Coupled with the great products being offered to both individual customers and small to medium sized businesses I am looking forward to growing the business and further developing the Avanti brand.”
Heading the HR function is Maggie McConnell (pictured). Maggie is a CIPD Associate and has over fifteen years’ experience as an HR Manager working in a generalist HR role.
Her background includes ten years at EdisonLearning, a global private school improvement provider, and more recently a position at Promo International, a global procurement and promotional solutions specialist. She has also worked for Essex County Council. Her move to Avanti is a natural progression and will be a crucial role with the company experiencing strong growth in terms of market share and personnel.
With one of the largest contact centres in the East of England, Avanti has appointed Mark Reed as new Contact Centre Manager.
Mark has over 20 years’ experience running contact centres and joins Avanti from Siemens and manages the award-winning team of specialist travel insurance advisers.
Avanti Travelcare specialises in travel insurance for travellers with pre-existing medical conditions, with no upper age limit. The company recently issued its 500,000th policy.
According to the Association of British Insurers travel insurance helps over 4,300 people every week who need medical treatment abroad with average treatment cost of £930 per claim.
