Analytics In Talent Acquisition Is Here: Introducing The Data Driven Recruiter
NEW YORK (PRWEB) February 10, 2015 -- Jibe, Inc., a leading recruitment technology company, today announced the launch of The Data Driven Recruiter, an online educational resource and content hub focused around the emergence of data and analytics across the global recruitment industry. The Data Driven Recruiter will share real-world stories from some of the talent acquisition market's leading professionals and thought leaders about how they are using data and analytics to source talent and hire more strategically and effectively than ever before.
With 90 percent of the world's data generated within the past three years alone, just about every business discipline has been impacted and in many cases radically transformed. Talent acquisition is no different but is only now beginning to feel the impact from data. Leading industry research group Bersin by Deloitte reports that only 14 percent of HR organizations in the United States use advanced analytics to make talent decisions.
"With analytics only just beginning to be applied in talent acquisition, knowledge sharing and education from those that are already doing it is an absolute imperative," says Ivan Casanova, Jibe's SVP of Marketing. "Every day, Jibe clients are using analytics and data to drive more informed decision-making and improved outcomes across all stages of the hiring lifecycle. The Data Driven Recruiter will share their stories to inform, enlighten and accelerate recruitment to the next level."
The results of Jibe's Talent Acquisition Survey revealed that the industry is in a nascent state with regard to the application of data and analytics in recruiting. With an abundance of new technologies adopted by talent acquisition organizations over the past decade, the data generated is often unconnected and unstructured, creating a serious challenge with regard to management and use of this data. The survey asked hundreds of recruiting professionals for their thoughts on data and analytics today, and revealed that the industry is still in a state of struggle.
- Professionals spend an average of 32 hours per month managing data
- 62% said they can't easily extract data or metrics from their current systems
- 67% said they don't trust the data they do receive
- 75% reported that it's difficult to share or explain the data with executives outside of HR
The aim of The Data Driven Recruiter is to reduce the friction between recruitment professionals and the data they have at their disposal. By sharing best-practice advice from the industry's most progressive practitioners, talent acquisition professionals can begin to truly harness the power of data.
