On-Board Diagnostics Technology, Standards and Regulations on the Agenda for SAE International Stuttgart Symposium
WARRENDALE, Pa. (PRWEB) February 11, 2015 -- Industry experts will address and discuss many of the most pressing on-board diagnostics technology topics at the SAE 2015 On-Board Diagnostics Symposium – Europe, to be held March 2-4 in Stuttgart, Germany. In addition, the meeting will provide updates on the latest standards and regulatory information.
The meeting will focus on solutions aimed at meeting both California Air Resources Board (CARB), EPA, and European Commission ground vehicle OBD regulations. Thomas Montes of CARB will speak about proposed regulatory changes.
Keynote speaker for the symposium will be Volker Lantzsch, Manager OBD Interfaces with Volkswagen AG. He will speak Monday, March 2 from 10:00 - -10:45 a.m. Mr. Lantzsch’s group at Volkswagen is responsible for defining and implementing OBD communication protocols, specifying OBD tools, defining OBD and ODX data bases, and the expansion of OBD knowledge across the complete development process. He is involved in many SAE International and ISO committees and task forces like J1979, J2012, ISO 14229 and ISO 27145. In addition, his area of responsibility also covers field investigation of OBD issues, J1699 and I/M testing.
