There are many reasons why Anycast should be used in a DNS infrastructure including speed, redundancy, and scalability as the core benefits.

DNS Made Easy has created an elite IP Anycast+ network to solve the inadequacies of standard IP Anycast networks.

An IP Anycast routing structure provides global load balancing, redundancy, decreased latency, and a true distributed response to denial of service (DoS) and distributed denial of service (DDoS) attacks.

Using IP Anycast, each name server IP corresponds to hundreds of systems world-wide that are announced from different geographical locations. DNS queries are then sent to the closest name server to the querying client.

DNS Made Easy provides an IP Anycast+ network for both its Managed DNS Service and Secondary DNS Service. The IP Anycast+ network is a proprietary multi-cloud architecture designed by DNS Made Easy.

IP Anycast+ provides enhanced traffic scalability, deliverability, and speed. To improve speed, redundancy and scalability, DNS Made Easy recently added a new region – Oceania – defined for the DNS Made Easy Global Traffic Director (GTD) service. Oceania will allow DNS Made Easy clients that have the GTD service enabled to create custom DNS configurations that will only be seen for end users in that section of the world.

"This new region will help grow our GTD usages and provide better services to our clients," Job said.

DNS Made Easy is continually investing in features and performance upgrades to provide our users the best return on investment in the industry. In 2014, DNS Made Easy upgraded the infrastructure in its San Jose facility, which aided in the inauguration of DNS Made Easy’s launch of its newest Seattle PoP.

Clients saw increases in speed in the Northwestern United States, and increased safety and network redundancy due to the upgrades. In the next month DNS Made Easy plans to finish their launch of their Japan point of presence.
