A Showcase of Musical, Dancing and Acting Talent, North Kingstown High School Fine Arts Department will present the musical “On The Town” on March 6 - 8

The Director of the NKHS Fine Arts Department, Norma Caiazza has chosen On The Town, a musical with music by Leonard Bernstein, book & lyrics by Betty Comden and Adolph Green, based on an idea by Jerome Robbins.

Performances will be staged at North Kingstown High School on March 6 – 8, 2015.

This beloved musical is the story of a 24-hour adventure involving three sailors on leave from their ships in New York City during wartime 1944. It’s a fun, uplifting show with lots of verve. (Parental guidance is suggested.)

Memorable musical numbers include Come Up to My Place, Lucky to Be Me, Some Other Time and New York, New York.

Four performances of On The Town will be presented; Friday, March 6 at 7 pm. Saturday, March 7 at 2 and 7 pm and Sunday, March 8 at 2 pm.

Tickets will be sold in advance of the show at Dave’s of Wickford and Quonset, The North Kingstown Chamber of Commerce, the High School and at Baker’s Pharmacy in Jamestown and are $12 in advance at $16 at the door. (NKHS students: $12)
