Living Direct releases results from responsive website upgrade, which resulted in a $1 million lift in revenue over the holiday season.

Innovative solutions and agile methodology combined with a two-month development timeline for three websites has led to outstanding results for Living Direct

Austin-based e-commerce company, Living Direct, has completely overhauled and re-designed three of its biggest sites with outstanding results.

Launching in mid-November 2014, the websites benefitting from the overhaul are some of Living Direct’s biggest e-commerce sites: http://www.compactappliance.com, http://www.kegerator.com and http://www.winecoolerdirect.com

The redesign results measured from Cyber Week through to the end of the year demonstrated that the upgrade led to a $1 million dollar lift in revenue, 100% increase in mobile conversion rate, and 500% increase in mobile revenue.

Responsive redesign allowed Living Direct to keep the experience on its own servers, upgrade site response time for users, and ensure correct content is served based on screen size for a seamless user experience.

Director of Web Development, Conversion and Analytics, Justin Aronstein, said the importance of keeping ecommerce sites fresh and relevant is paramount – and that the results speak for themselves.

“Our web development team has brought in new technologies to accomplish a difficult task under an incredibly tight deadline. Innovative solutions and agile methodology combined with a two-month development timeline for three websites has led to outstanding results for Living Direct,” Mr Aronstein said.

The Living Direct network has enjoyed double-digit growth every year since 1999.

ABOUT LIVING DIRECT

Living Direct, Inc. began in 1999 as Richlund Ventures in Austin, Texas. Founder and CEO, Rick Lundbom, grew up around appliances. Both his dad and grandfather sold appliances for boats and RVs, and Rick saw the potential for more people to see the benefits of smaller specialized products.

Seeing the Internet as a way to reach niche customers across locations where such specialized products may not be easily available, Rick started CompactAppliance.com in 1999, which has seen double-digit growth every year since.

We're now enjoying a network of many different websites, each aimed at a niche set of products to fit customer needs. We've relocated our offices on the west side of Austin Texas, just east of the beautiful Texas Hill Country, with over 70 employees to bring great service and cool products to our customers.
