Dexcom makes my life as a diabetic so much easier.
(PRWEB) February 13, 2015
"Dexcom” was featured on NewsWatch as part of its monthly Tech Report, which takes a look at the latest and coolest technology products and services available to consumers. Scott Steinberg, a special reporter for NewsWatch and a technology expert, conducted the app review and shared with viewers how this is a new product that continuously monitors glucose levels.
According to the United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, nearly 30 million people in the US have diabetes. Diabetes is a chronic disease that imposes significant difficulties on the lives of those afflicted, and unfortunately there is still no cure. Well a revolutionary new product that changes the lives of patients was featured at the 2015 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The product is from a company called Dexcom and it changes the way that people manage the disease. The devices sits on a person’s side and it continuously monitors that person’s glucose levels. So instead of a person having to prick their finger, they can just check the device or their phone.
An app works in congruence with the device, so they can always see their glucose level. And if a person’s glucose level is too high or too low, their phone will send a notification. Thankfully, the devices from Dexcom are covered under most insurances, making it the easiest way to manage diabetes.
