Within his new book, God Took Me by the Hand And Led Me into Divine Destiny, ($10.99, paperback, 9781498421881; $5.99, e-book, 9781498421898) Dr. Larry Jackson refers to many events throughout his life to encourage readers that God is ever-present; that He will be there for them, and to just keep trusting Him. With his life experiences, the author draws the true picture of an invisible God who is truly there, and actively working in the midst of trials and difficulties.
“A lot of people have been through similar situations, like our veterans who have suffered PTSD (Posttraumatic Stress Disorder) like I did, and couldn't get the help I did,” states the author. “Many gave up. My story will help bring them a sense of dependence on God. I just need to be heard.”
Dr. Larry Jackson has been in the ministry since his conversion on or about November 18, 1978. Called to preach two years after his conversion, he produced a street ministry, jail ministry, food ministry, and a radio ministry until he entered seminary. He eventually graduated with his Doctorate degree from the New Foundation Theological Seminary of Jackson, MS. The author shares, “I do have experience in the area of hardships, pain, and triumphs. I've dealt with people in all walks of life. The opinions that I share in my book are based on life experiences.”
