Research shows that travelers who engage with the Utrip planner spend more time on our site and ultimately book longer trips to Dallas. We’re thrilled with the results!
(PRWEB) February 18, 2015
Utrip, a free travel planning platform that creates personalized itineraries in minutes, today released case study results of its partnership with the Dallas Convention & Visitors Bureau. The Utrip PRO technology was launched on the VisitDallas.com site on Sept. 9, 2014. The platform enables visitors to quickly create personalized Dallas itineraries, book lodging and share their trips with family and friends.
To measure the impact of the Utrip PRO trip planner on the VisitDallas.com site, two different evaluations were completed. The case study compared engagement levels of the Utrip platform against the previous VisitDallas.com trip planner, and a separate analysis compared the results of VisitDallas.com site visitors who engaged with the Utrip platform versus those who didn’t use the trip planner.
In every category, the Utrip PRO technology delivered superior results. In comparing the Utrip planner to the previous trip planner, usage increased by 227%, page views increased by 1,295% and time on page increased by 173%. In reviewing the behavior of VisitDallas.com visitors who used the Utrip planner versus visitors who didn’t, time on page increased by 29%, page views increased by 141%, bounce rates declined by 46% and planned trip length increased by 71%.
“The numbers are phenomenal,” said Frank J. Librio, Vice President of Communications at the Dallas Convention & Visitors Bureau. “Research shows that travelers who engage with the Utrip planner spend more time on our site and ultimately book longer trips to Dallas. We’re thrilled with the results!”
The Dallas Convention & Visitors Bureau is known for its groundbreaking approach to destination marketing. It launched its award-winning BIG brand campaign in 2013, which is credited with increasing its site traffic by 60%.
“We are very proud to be working with the Dallas Convention & Visitors Bureau, known for their innovative approach to marketing. They were Utrip PRO’s launch customer, and we are excited about the excellent results our technology has delivered on the VisitDallas.com site,” said Gilad Berenstein, CEO and founder of Utrip. “We look forward to even more travelers using the platform as they discover how easy it is to create a perfect, personalized trip to Dallas.”
The Utrip PRO platform allows destination marketing organizations and hospitality groups to offer personalized travel planning on their sites. The platform uses a traveler’s interests, preferences and budget to create complete, personalized itineraries including activities and restaurant recommendations. The system also engages local area experts who design Featured Trips to showcase their favorite venues in their city.
