Filament Games’ Co-Founder Dan White to Keynote Digital Kids Conference
New York, NY (PRWEB) February 13, 2015 -- This Sunday, February 15th marks the kickoff of the Digital Kids Conference in New York, an event that highlights trends in best-selling apps, games, digital toys and online media services for kids and learners. Filament Games Co-founder and Chief Product Officer Dan White will keynote the conference, taking place in partnership with Toy Fair 2015.
The keynote will touch on the trends of game-based learning and how the industry as a whole has rapidly transformed over the past number of years. Filament Games has developed over 70 learning games and has an acute awareness of the challenges in producing and commercializing high quality game-based learning products. White’s keynote will focus on the commercialization of learning games and the challenges that developers face.
White’s keynote comes as Filament Learning, an imprint of Filament Games, releases their first physical science game title for classroom use, Backyard Engineers. The game teaches engineering design concepts and comes with comprehensive, standards-based curriculum for educators. The game will be available on the Filament Learning Store on February 18th.
“We are excited to have Dan White keynote the Digital Kids: Toys, Learning and Play Summit to discuss the commercialization of learning games and the business potential for developers," said Tonda Bunge Sellers, President of Digital Kids Media. "We are in a new frontier that Dan understands well. His insight into best practices will allow Digital Kids attendees to take their games or products to the next level."
