Sean Combs and Robbie Williams on top in the next Bond Social Race
London, UK (PRWEB UK) 16 February 2015 -- Lithium Technologies, who acquired Klout in 2014, today announced the top 10 James Bond candidates with the most social strength. In preparation for the imminent announcement of the 14th James Bond, Lithium evaluated which Bond has the most Klout. The number one spot goes to Sean Combs (P. Diddy), followed by Robbie Williams and Hugh Jackman.
The list has been formulated from bookmakers’ odds for the next James Bond and corresponding Klout Scores. Klout Scores are compiled using proprietary algorithms, determined by more than 400 signals from eight different networks, including Facebook, Twitter and Google+, as well as real world data from Wikipedia.
With 11 new Twitter accounts created each second and 450 million tweets on a busy day, social media is the tool celebrities cannot afford to miss out on. Differences between Klout Scores can be narrow, making it hard to predict which Bond will come out on top. The current James Bond, Daniel Craig, has been in the role since 2005, and even though he does not have a Facebook or Twitter account, his latest film, Skyfall, was the first Bond movie to be heavily promoted across social media and was the second highest grossing film of 2012. As technology continues to evolve and society becomes ever more dependent on social platforms, the next James Bond movie is set to be the most socially pervasive Bond of all time.
Celebrities use social media channels first and foremost to build their profile. From there, they are able to connect and engage with their audience and fan base. Having gone from being household names to brands in their own right, celebrities know it is extremely important for a public figure to create and share authentic content.
“The Bond films are legendary and whichever actor fills these shoes will be thrown into the world’s social arena. Our list salutes the next generation of 007 and the actors who have established themselves across social media platforms,” said Katy Keim, CMO of Lithium Technologies.
“James Bond movies are a constant throughout the years. Popular culture shapes them and the way in which they are watched and marketed. James Bond embraces the latest technologies in line with popular trends and will continue to do so,” said David Black, Chairman of The James Bond International Fan Club.
The most socially engaged and influential candidates are:
