Headquarters Staff Gathers With Placards That Help Depict The Importance Of Radio And Why It Is Loved And Needed.

If anyone would understand why the medium of radio is so loved and needed, it probably would be a radio marketing company like CRN International.

The 40-year-old company found a unique way to celebrate World Radio Day on Feb. 13: The staff gathered on the staircase at corporate headquarters in Hamden, CT, holding placards that helped demonstrate the strength of radio and what there is to like about it.

World Radio Day was proclaimed in 2011 by UNESCO’s 36th General Conference. It was created to acknowledge the impact of radio, why we love it and why we need it today more than ever. It’s a day designated to remember the unique power of radio to touch lives and bring people together across every corner of the globe.

Among the words on the placards to commemorate the importance of radio were: news, talk, sports, multicultural, emotional, personalities, local, country, classical, reach, jazz, informative, entertaining, contemporary and ideas.
