AMX Partners with UBTech to Recognize the World’s Most Innovative Uses of Technology in Higher Ed
Richardson, TX (PRWEB) February 13, 2015 -- As part of its long-standing commitment to simplify technology management in higher education, HARMAN's AMX and the Global Education Alliance have partnered with University Business to launch the fifth annual AMX Innovation Awards at UBTech 2015. Awards submissions are being accepted now through March 31, 2015. This exclusive global awards program is designed to recognize higher education institutions for their innovative uses of technology to further AV/IT convergence, spur learning in a variety of traditional and non-traditional ways and make campuses more efficient and/or effective.
All 2015 Innovation Award finalists and winners will have their submissions recognized in this year’s Innovation Awards Pavilion, which is located at UBTech 2015, being held June 15 - 17 in Orlando, Florida. Finalists and winners will also be recognized by University Business and AMX in a variety of online recognition venues. Additionally, the Global Education Alliance and AMX are excited again this year to honor the four winning submissions with $25,000 each in AMX technology. To learn more and submit entries, we invite you to visit the AMX Innovation Awards at UBTech 2015. This year’s submission categories include:
• Campus Impact – AV/IT convergence allows universities to positively impact the campus in a variety of ways. These installations celebrate overall campus impact.
• Active Learning Classroom - Whether disruptive, flipped, or flexible, these installations use technology to foster collaboration and active learning.
• Non-traditional Learning Spaces - These installations use technology to further the educational experience in a non-traditional learning space such as a huddle space or a library.
• Beyond Learning Spaces - Campuses are comprised of more than learning spaces. These installations could be building types a campus communication system or other installations that go beyond learning.
"AMX has a rich tradition of supporting higher education through visionary technologies that enhance the educational environment of students,” said AMX President Rashid Skaf. “We couldn't be more pleased to sponsor the Innovation Awards this year and partner with our friends at University Business to honor those exemplary schools. Since we started this program five years ago, the submissions have become increasingly creative making it harder and harder to select the winners and that is a challenge we cherish."
“We are extremely pleased to once again host the AMX Innovation Awards at UBTech,” added University Business president and publisher Daniel E. Kinnaman. “This program generates national interest, and shines a spotlight on the importance of vision and innovation in higher education excellence. It’s not good enough to just do things the way they’ve always been done on campus, and the AMX Innovation Awards at UBTech honors those who are finding new ways to excel and succeed.”
