BURLINGAME, Calif. (PRWEB) February 17, 2015
X15 Software, Inc., a leading large-scale machine and log data management company, today announced the general availability of X15 Enterprise™ 2.0, an end-to-end, Hadoop-based solution for ingesting, indexing, searching and analyzing machine and log data.
X15 Enterprise represents a dramatic leap forward in machine data technology. It is built from the ground up to take advantage of modern data processing technologies and is integrated with Hadoop offerings from Cloudera, Hortonworks, MapR and Pivotal. The latest release offers the following enhancements:
- A high speed messaging-based data collection capability. Built on one of the industry’s fastest and highest performing messaging technologies, X15 Enterprise now provides a reliable, high-throughput and cost-effective streaming data collection capability. X15 Enterprise data collection features include a brokerless messaging transport using a publish/subscribe model, lightweight agents for a wide number of streaming data sources as well as simplified configuration, deployment, administration and monitoring.
- Correlation of machine data with relational data sources. Enriching log data with real-time, rapidly changing enterprise data stored in external databases is a critical requirement for machine data analytics. X15 Enterprise allows direct relational database access, federation of queries across multiple databases and the ability to push computation-intensive processing into relational databases, resulting in more accurate analysis and significant performance improvements.
- Built-in visualization and dashboarding capabilities. X15 users can now take advantage of sophisticated visualization capabilities to build dashboards that track critical metrics and KPIs and to quickly detect anomalies in large data sets. In addition, charts and dashboards can be embedded in custom applications via REST APIs.
Single Solution for Search and Historical Analysis
To date, enterprises with large-scale machine data requirements have used two distinct types of technologies for machine and log data management: search-based tools for real-time event detection and analysis, and relational databases for more complex, historical analysis. This approach results in duplication of data, scalability issues, costly professional services engagements and ever-increasing cost of ownership as data volumes grow. X15 Enterprise is the first large-scale analytic solution in the marketplace that combines real-time, unstructured data search and SQL-based historical analysis capabilities in a single, purpose-built platform.
“Semistructured streaming data, driven by the Internet of Things, is the fastest-growing category of Big Data” said Mark Madsen, President of Third Nature Consulting. “X15 Software’s integrated, end-to-end machine data management solution built on Hadoop should appeal to enterprises looking to simplify and accelerate the analysis of large volumes of machine and log data.”
“X15 Enterprise 2.0 delivers new functionality that makes it even easier and faster for our customers to shorten the cycle time between collecting machine data from any source and deriving operational and business value from it,” said Val Rayzman, founder and CEO, X15 Software. “This release enables our customers to greatly accelerate their large-scale machine data analytic deployments.”
