Webranx LLC is offering Online Reputation Management classes (both live and streaming) for February 27th 2015. These classes will help small business owners learn how to improve their websites and online presence, specifically as they pertain to Reputation Management. Reputation Management -- originally a PR term but now primarily a facet of search results -- is firstly, the understanding of, and secondly, the influencing or affecting of, a business’s reputation. When customers search for a business or service, one of the first things they check are the reviews of other customers and clients posted on Yelp and other like sites.

While exposure for a brand is normally a good thing, there are situations in which increased exposure means negative comments and feedback. In the fast-paced internet environment of today, how a business reacts (or doesn’t react) to negativity can define a brand and an entire company. Inaccurate, negative comments can, and do, turn potential customers away, and can even turn them into detractors, in much the same way a business’s best customers act as evangelists for the brand. It is important every comment is reported and tracked whether good or bad, and if a comment or review is negative, that it is addressed promptly and effectively before it begins to drag down the company’s reputation.

If a business does not protect its own reputation, anyone (including a competitor) can set up a profile and damage the company’s brand. In addition, if a brand is inconsistent among its social media, customers may feel a disconnect from the primary message that company is trying to convey. Webranx makes sure that when someone searches for the brand, they see that brand at the top of the search results, and ensures those results are glowing and positive.

Classes will focus on the above principles, and many others, teaching small businesses how to craft and nurture a Brand Identity successfully. Classes begin Fridays February 27th 2015. at 6pm and continue every Friday at 5802 Val Verde Street Suite 180, Houston Texas 77057.
