NuCurrent, a leader in wireless power antenna technology, announces the appointment of Michael Gotlieb as vice president of business development. With over 20 years of technology experience in embedded electronics, software and services, Gotlieb will be responsible for expanding revenue globally.

Prior to joining NuCurrent, Gotlieb served in several leadership positions at Motorola and spinoff Freescale Semiconductor, where he helped enter and lead markets, build and enhance organizations, grow and improve revenues, and develop and execute a successful turnaround corporate strategy. During his tenure, Freescale launched its IPO and successfully transformed the corporate profile, resulting in the sale of the company in a $17.6B leveraged buyout. Before Motorola, Gotlieb exceeded goals in various sales and business development roles for Analog Devices, Inc. His vast experience extends to software and services through a variety of startup companies as an angel investor and advisory board member.

NuCurrent has also been selected as the reference antenna for the systems of other wireless power industry leaders including Broadcom and Efficient Power Conversion Corporation (EPC). Already supporting solutions across Wireless Power Consortium (Qi) and Power Matters Alliance (PMA) standards, NuCurrent’s high-efficiency resonators were also selected for the first commercially available Alliance for Wireless Power (A4WP) certified products. The company’s high-efficiency antennas were also selected as the Wireless Power Consortium's standard antenna for in-car charging (i.e. charging a mobile phone by placing it on the center armrest of a car).
