Sushi Brokers Donates $10,000 to the Greater Phoenix Urban League
Scottsdale, AZ (PRWEB) February 19, 2015 -- Hoping to help others in need, the owner of successful Scottsdale restaurant chain, Sushi Brokers, chose the Greater Phoenix Urban League as the beneficiary of his 15th annual Sushi Brokers Open. Himself a self-made man, RL Miller has become a well-recognized figure in the Scottsdale business community, having owned and operated several profitable venues in the city over the last two decades. This year, he decided to shift his attention to something new to support the growth of Scottsdale: philanthropy.
“I come from humble beginnings in Idaho and know how far economic opportunities go for today’s disadvantaged, especially in this economy. For this reason, I chose the Greater Phoenix Urban League for this donation. It’s got an honorable mission that I want to support,” says RL Miller, Owner of the Sushi Brokers chain of restaurants.
Mr. Miller has had a long relationship with Arizona-based charities, especially the Greater Phoenix Urban League, and is thrilled to be able to use his business to support Arizonans in a variety of ways.
“We’re honored to receive this contribution to our organization and are hoping that other businesses in Scottsdale, and across Arizona, follow Mr. Miller’s example of using his success to drive both economic and social development in our state,” added George Dean, President of the Greater Phoenix Urban League.
