Atlas Oil Company has launched a new safety related social media campaign called #respecttherig. The campaign features short videos of Atlas drivers giving safe driving tips for sharing the road with big rigs. Atlas invites other big rig drivers, trucking associations and other organizations to join the conversation at #respecttherig.
Atlas Oil Company has more than two hundred trucks on the road every day and according the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, there are approximately 11,000,000 trucks total on the road in the US on any given day. Statistics point to the fact that a majority of truck driving accidents are caused by drivers of passenger vehicles who drive unsafely around big rigs. This campaign is designed to create awareness about safe driving.
