Lexington, MASS (PRWEB) February 19, 2015
The 8th Annual Women’s Private Equity Summit will be held March 11 – 13, 2015 at The Ritz-Carlton, Half Moon Bay, California. As the major industry conference for senior-level women in private equity and venture capital marks its eighth year, the Summit’s influence continues to grow. Conference producer Falk Marques Group expects nearly 500 attendees at the 2015 event — the largest gathering yet.
Beth Falk, Summit founder and president of Falk Marques Group, notes this year’s conference will provide perspective on what lies ahead for the industry as a whole and for key investment sectors. “Private equity and venture capital continue to thrive due to the strong IPO market and corporate aquirers. As a result of this period of sustained growth, firms have been able to return record amounts of capital to limited partners. LPs and GPs want to know if this period of growth will continue.” In short, says Falk, the 2015 Women’s Private Equity Summit “is an invaluable conference for high-level discussion, non-stop networking, and exploring new approaches and strategies for what’s next in the industry.”
The Women’s Private Equity Summit attracts a powerful group of leaders — GPs, LPs and the professionals who advise them — to make new connections, nurture existing relationships, and discuss successful strategies for doing business going forward. During keynote plenary sessions, moderated panel discussions, candid breakout sessions, and TINA Talks — fast-paced talks inspired by the TED-talk format, offering original ideas about the future of our world — a “Who’s Who” of the private markets and industry visionaries will share their insights and experience with Summit attendees.
Keynote speakers include: Anne Stausboll, Chief Executive Officer, California Public Employees' Retirement System (CalPERS); Bess Weatherman, Managing Director, Warburg Pincus; Jennifer Chatman, Paul J. Cortese Distinguished Professor of Management, Haas School of Business, University of California, Berkeley; Christyl Johnson, Deputy Center Director for Technology and Research Investments, NASA Goddard Space Flight Center; and Shelia Lirio Marcelo, Founder, Chairwoman and Chief Executive Officer, Care.com.
The powerhouse lineup of more than 80 speakers includes a broad range of women from the institutional investor community and the private equity, venture capital, real estate, real asset and debt fields. Featured speakers include: Susan J. Carter, Senior Advisor, Commonfund Capital; Jean Hoysradt, Chief Investment Officer, Mousse Partners Limited; Ann Huntress Lamont, Managing Partner, Oak HC/FT and Oak Investment Partners; Kim Y. She will participate in a keynote interview at the Summit.
A new addition to this year’s Summit are Life Trends sessions. These collaborative sessions focus on issues that both affect our daily lives and represent business opportunities for entrepreneurs and investors. Our expert panelists will provide insight on the following topics: Education, Aging, Food, Climate Change, and Collectibles.
