This latest Slimline Antenna utilizes the same 12”/300mm wide form factor that Quintel’s 8-Port Antennas use and will be available in the most popular lengths.
The Quintel MultiServ 12-Port Multiband Antenna with patented QTilt™ technology uniquely delivers 12 ports and up to six (6) independent service tilts as follows:
(i) Two low-band services
a. 1x 698-787MHz service (3GPP Bands 12, 13, 17, 29) and
b. 1x 824-894MHz service (3GPP Band 5)
(ii) Eight high-band services (or two separate CLA-2X 4-Branch LTE services)
a. 2x AWS/WCS services (including 3GPP Bands 2, 4, 30) and AWS-3, and
b. 2x PCS services (Band 25)
Once again, Quintel delivers all these services in a single slim-line 12”/300mm wide antenna. This enables existing antenna-constrained sites to be upgraded to LTE for 700MHz, 850, PCS, AWS and WCS bands with the replacement of one like-for-like antenna. The Quintel MultiServ Multiband 12-Port Slimline Antenna is an ideal solution for independently optimizing multiple services when rapidly introducing new services. Technology agnostic, each band provides flexibility for optimizing existing and future technologies such as GSM/GPRS/EDGE, UMTS/HSPA, CDMA/EVDO, and 4-Branch LTE/LTE-Advanced including MIMO implementations. The tilt of each service is controlled independently via fully internal RET actuators compliant to AISG1.1, AISG2.0 and 3GPP protocols. Unlike other high port count antennas, the Quintel 12-Port Antenna does not use vertically stacked 4’ antennas, thus allowing antennas to be either exactly 6’ or 8’ in length, while providing the standard RF characteristics of those lengths as demanded by Operators.
Another powerful characteristic of all Quintel Antennas is that their Azimuth patterns have been optimized with network design and deployment in mind. The 3dB Azimuth beamwidth is ~65o as with most Base Station Antennas, but we optimize how the pattern rolls-off and where the sidelobes emerge such that there is minimal Inter-Sector Interference when 3x sectors are deployed. This means for interference limited networks, where LTE traffic is high, Quintel antennas have been shown to deliver 25% higher capacity.
Unlike conventional multi-port antennas, Quintel’s technology empowers operators to reduce unnecessary infrastructure and thereby allows them to more quickly and efficiently expand their services and networks. Since 2006, North American, European and Indian deployments have demonstrated positive and measurable performance and economic results relative to operator coverage through a combination of increased radiation (RAD) centers, antenna consolidation, and additional cost savings on both initial capital outlays and recurring operating expenses.
