Beach City Baseball Academy Hosts Little League Tournament with German Team
El Segundo, CA (PRWEB) February 19, 2015 -- Beach City Baseball Academy is pleased to announce that the 12 and Under German National little league team will be participating in their annual International Baseball tournament that will take place at Recreation Park in El Segundo Saturday and Sunday March 28 and 29 starting 9am continuing to the early afternoon. The Beach City Prospects will also be playing an exhibition game against the German team on Friday night, March 27 at 7 pm.
It is a yearly tradition for Beach City Baseball Academy to invite an international team to this tournament. For the last 3 years they hosted Kitasuna of Tokyo, the Little League world champion team from Japan.
“We are very grateful that the German Team accepted our invitation because we want to expose Southern Californian players to this amazing and fun experience of sharing the common language of baseball across distinct cultures, ” states Beach City Baseball Academy Manager Richard Murad. Beach City pays the entire cost of the trip including all travel and entertainment expenses.
The fun week includes a beach barbecue, a Dodger game where the kids get to go on the field and meet the dodger players, a trip to Universal studios and sightseeing tours throughout Los Angeles.
“Sports are an incredible way to bring people and communities together, and team activities have been continuously proven to help children build confidence and improve social skills. It’s especially fun for the local Los Angeles families that host the boys in their homes for one week during their stay” said Richard Murad.
Participating teams are: El Segundo Little League, North Torrance little league, Manhattan Beach Heaters (coached by former Los Angeles Dodger, Eric Karros), Redondo Beach Samurai, South Bay Krakens, South Bay Surf, Team Germany, and the Beach City Baseball Academy team.
“It will be an exciting tournament,” says Murad, “I expect to see a lot of smiles and some great baseball.”
