Glencoe is Warming up This Winter with Farm-to-Crust, Bake-at-Home Pizza
Glencoe, IL (PRWEB) February 19, 2015 -- Stock up before the next big blizzard hits! New bake-at-home pizzeria Bake425˚ is giving Glencoe residents good reason to tunnel out of their homes between snowstorms: warm, oven-ready pizzas, piled high with fresh, locally grown flavors.
Bake425˚ opens up shop at 345 Park Avenue on February 18, with a grand opening celebration on Saturday, February 21. Stop by between 1pm and 4pm for samples of local and organic from-scratch pizzas, fresh-baked cookies and small-batch sodas.
Pastry chef Ambrose Erkenswick, founder Bill Borneman and the Bake425˚ team will be on hand to talk about the ways in which they strive to reduce the number of steps from farm to crust — everything from sourcing local and organic ingredients to making their own sauces and dough in house daily. They will be joined by some of the artisanal producers and local farms featured on the Bake425˚ menu.
With the opening of Bake425˚, Glencoe pizza aficionados can indulge in bright, garden-fresh flavors assembled into toasty bake-at-home pizzas such as the Goud Indulgence, a winter-warming combo of subtly sweet butternut squash, cherry tomatoes, roasted walnuts and smoked gouda perked up by fresh pesto sauce. Or salads such as the Well Grounded, a colorful, flavorful mix of vitamin-rich kale, jewel-hued beets, ribbons of carrot, roasted pistachios and goat cheese crumbles tossed in a housemade balsamic vinaigrette.
The Glencoe location is the second Bake425˚ spot to open in 2015. The company’s flagship store opened in Highland Park last fall, followed soon after by grand openings in Winnetka, Evanston and Lake Forest. Additional stores are planned in Hinsdale and Barrington later this year.
Bake425˚ is open daily from 2pm to 8pm Monday through Thursday, and 1pm to 8pm Friday through Sunday. Orders may be place by calling 847-242-9000.
