WeSpeke Announces a Global Video Contest: My Funny Language Experience
Pittsburgh, PA (PRWEB) February 19, 2015 -- WeSpeke, the free social network for language learning, announces the WeSpeke Video Contest 2015: "My Funny Language Experience". WeSpeke invites language learners from across the globe to create a video that captures those funny, maybe embarrassing, but always memorable language and cultural mistakes. These faux pas can happen in a class. They can happen on a trip. It's easy for learners to confuse words or use them out of context. They can get a translation wrong or mispronounce a word. WeSpeke wants language learners to think back to those moments, laugh a bit (or maybe cringe), and then create a funny video to share with the world!
“The Video Contest is a fun way to encourage learners to continue their journey to learn a new language whether for work, school, or pleasure. We all make mistakes along the way. Trust me, I’ve made my share of bloopers while traveling,” said Mike Elchik, CEO of WeSpeke. “We all have those funny stories that we tell our friends about memorable mess ups. We want those stories on video!”
The deadline to submit is March 15, 2015. Any person submitting a video must be a registered user on WeSpeke (it's free to join) and can submit up to five videos. The maximum length of each video is one minute. The top ten videos will be determined by a public vote that will take place between March 20 and March 31, 2015.
