Interactive Achievement Partners with Virginia School-University Partnership
ROANOKE, VIRGINIA (PRWEB) February 19, 2015 -- The Virginia School-University Partnership (VSUP) has partnered with Interactive Achievement (IA) to provide expanded benefits to its division members. The partnership will now offer VSUP members the award-winning onTRAC® platform at a discounted subscription rate, and Interactive Achievement will be the exclusive host and distributor of the VSUP assessment item bank.
VSUP’s mission is to provide professional collaboration, improve instruction, and increase student achievement in Virginia and has over 55 members. The VSUP item bank was established in 2007 for the membership to provide instructional support for teachers in assessing and remediating students and contains over 5,000 items for grade 3-8 across the core four subject areas of reading, math, social studies and science.
“We are delighted to have Interactive Achievement host the VSUP item bank. Because teachers collaboratively build the item bank across divisions in the membership, it truly leverages the expertise of Virginia educators and provides a tangible way in which successful instructional strategies can be shared within the membership.” said VSUP Director Dr. Roger Collins.
With Interactive Achievement’s onTRAC AMS software, teachers can build a formative assessment and score the test or quiz to inform their instruction immediately. onTRAC AMS is currently implemented in 1,439 schools in Virginia and includes an item bank of 35,340 across K12 and English language arts, math, social studies and science.
“We’re very excited about our partnership with VSUP and the platform for collaboration that it provides for Virginia divisions.” said Jonathan Hagmaier, CEO of Interactive Achievement. “One of our guiding principals at Interactive Achievement has been developing the community of teachers to collectively leverage their expertise. The VSUP item bank is the perfect opportunity to foster that vision with Virginia educators.”
The preliminary feedback from VSUP board of directors has been positive. Dr. James Lane stated, “The partnership between Interactive Achievement and VSUP is a great step forward. A significant number of divisions are already utilizing the onTRAC AMS platform, so the discount provides an opportunity for budget constrained divisions to utilize those funds for other needs they may have.”
