Laguna Beach, CA (PRWEB) February 19, 2015
The Blue Water Music Festival, one of the premiere music and arts festivals in Southern California, is pleased to announce Smash Mouth, Allen Stone and Brett Dennen as headliners for the annual event. Blue Water Music Festival will take place at the Sawdust Art Festival grounds in Laguna Beach, CA, March 28-29, 2015, and will feature more than 30 artists across three stages in this two-day showcase of music, art and community.
Smash Mouth has sold more than 10 million albums worldwide, with huge hits including “Walkin’ on the Sun,” “All Star,” “I’m a Believer,” and many more. They recently celebrated their 20-year anniversary and toured to promote their sixth studio album titled Magic. Critically acclaimed singer-songwriter Allen Stone has been called a “pitch-perfect powerhouse” by USA Today, and The New York Times’ Jon Pareles likened his socially conscious music to that of Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye and Bill Withers. Seasoned folk/pop singer-songwriter Brett Dennen has performed at major festivals across the country including Coachella, Bonnaroo, and Austin City Limits Music Festival and has toured with the likes of Dave Matthews and John Mayer, who describes Dennen as “timeless.”
Other confirmed acts include Grammy-nominated soul/reggae legend Pato Banton, Common Sense, Missiles of October, Trevor Green, as well as the Pawnshop Kings, one of Rolling Stone magazine’s “10 New Artists You Need to Know.” Additional artists will be announced at a later date.
“We’re excited that Smash Mouth, Allen Stone and Brett Dennen will be joining us as headliners this year,” said Rick Conkey, founder of Blue Water Music Festival. “This festival is a two day celebration of music and the arts and is also a grassroots way to demonstrate our mission of how music can benefit a community. As the Blue Water Music Festival grows, we have a chance to showcase an amazing diversity in music, as well as expose festival goers to original art and food from all around Southern California.”
Blue Water Music Festival is the first contemporary festival acknowledging the musical soul underlining Laguna Beach’s world-renowned art scene. From glass blowing and ceramics demonstrations to a Chef’s Showcase with some of the brightest culinary stars in Southern California, the family-friendly event offers something for everyone.
