In its January edition, REP. Magazine posted its list of the Nation’s Top 50 NextGen Independent Broker/Dealer Financial Advisors, and Nathan Bennett of Summit Financial Group, LLC in San Ramon, CA was ranked #29! The NextGen list was composed of the top 50 advisors under the age of 40 based on client assets under management. Nathan, 38, with over $225 million of client assets under administration was noted among the multitude of advisors in the independent broker/dealer space.

Nathan is a founding partner of Summit Financial Group which was launched in 2006 with fellow founders Steve Wilcox and Don Ledoux. Their vision was to create a firm with four pillars: To be client centric without regard to product, to provide the tools necessary for advisors to deliver on that promise, to value the employees that support the firm, and to make a difference in the community. Nine years, 25 team members and almost $700 Million in client assets under administration throughout the years later, the firm is delivering on that vision.

Nathan’s practice grew the old fashioned way; via diligent work on behalf of clients and longstanding relationships with clients and their other professionals that lead to further introductions. When asked what makes Nathan so successful, fellow partner Steve Wilcox, stated, “I have never met anyone with more conviction in delivering advice to clients. With incredible confidence in the reasons people should take control and plan their financial lives, Nate loves the journey with people who are committed to their best financial selves. Whether the advice is easy or difficult, Nate will be your greatest coach.”

Today his practice is primarily focused on the owners of privately held businesses and the challenges that are present in their financial lives. While grateful to be recognized, Nathan is focused on doing what’s necessary to help his clients. When asked about the award, Nathan stated, “It’s humbling to be named among the top advisors in your peer group, because it is a reflection of the people have placed their trust in you to manage their wealth. It is a trust I take seriously and try to honor each day.”

A believer in financial education, Nathan has earned the Certified Financial Planner™, Chartered Financial Consultant, Chartered Life Underwriter, and Certified Fund Specialist designations. He also passes that knowledge to the next generation by teaching Junior Achievement courses on financial readiness to local high school students.
Advisors on the Top NextGen Independent Broker/Dealer Advisors list are ranked exclusively by total assets under administration.
