Litigation Solutions Inc. Hosts Annual Party and Fundraiser for the Wheels of Justice Courage Classic Tour
Denver, CO (PRWEB) February 20, 2015 -- The Litigation Solutions, Inc. (LSI) annual party was held at The EDGE Bar Fireplace at the Four Seasons Hotel Denver. Its downtown location provided an upscale atmosphere to complement the house DJ, scrumptious appetizers and spirited drinks.
For the past four years, LSI’s annual party raised donations for Denver Kids. This year’s party raised funds to support the Wheels of Justice Cycling Tour to benefit Children’s Hospital Colorado – Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders. LSI president, Michael Lopez, and several others in the legal and business community are members of the Wheels of Justice team.
“Three years ago I joined the Wheels of Justice team after my friend, Bernie Gehris, shared his story about losing his 4-year-old son Nathan to leukemia in 1993. “Nathan’s story inspired me to ride in the Courage Classic,” said Lopez. He continued, “Heather Leja and the Wheels of Justice team inspired me to do more than just ride. I am proud to be among a team of more than 270 cyclists who support the Courage Classic and Children’s Hospital Colorado.”
With more than 120 guests present including clients, Children’s Hospital Colorado supporters, Wheels of Justice team members, and the Wheels of Justice director Heather Leja, Lopez used the LSI annual party as a platform to inspire others. It served as an opportunity to build awareness for why the Wheels of Justice team rides, and to encourage others to participate, support or sponsors the tour in 2015.
Dr. Nicholas Foreman, interim chair of pediatric neuro-oncology at Children’s Hospital Colorado, took to the mic and delivered a powerful reminder to guests that even the smallest donations contribute to life saving research.
The Wheels of Justice team raised more than $365,000 at the 2014 Courage Classic Cycling Tour. Year after year, the team recruits corporate sponsors that account for approximately $75,000 in donations, while individual team members raise the remainder of funds to benefit Children’s Hospital Colorado – Center for Cancer and Blood Donations.
“I am grateful to Michael Lopez and his colleagues at LSI. Their annual party to support the Wheels of Justice team and to benefit Children’s Hospital Colorado helps with the fight against pediatric cancer,” said Leja.
The party has inspired others in the legal community to get involved as well. Several guests have reached out to Lopez to learn how they can help—not only financially, but by volunteering as well.
“Wheels of Justice is one of the top fund raisers at the Courage Classic. We welcome volunteers, donations and sponsorships,” said Lopez.
The Wheels of Justice team is proud to recognize Holland & Knight and COPIC as 2015 sponsors. If your organization is looking for a sponsorship opportunity that provides great marketing benefits, please email [email protected].
