New York, NY (PRWEB) February 23, 2015
AIG Advisor Group, one of the largest independent broker-dealer networks in the nation, will host the 2015 W Forum in San Diego, March 1-3. This will be the broker-dealer’s ninth annual women’s conference aimed at providing outstanding networking and educational events to support female advisors’ practice goals. Recently rebranded as the W Forum, this year’s conference will explore topics inspired by the event’s tagline: “Women. Winning. Wisdom. Wealth.”
The 2015 W Forum’s keynote speakers include Barbara Corcoran, real estate mogul, business expert and panelist on ABC’s Shark Tank, along with Carey Lohrenz, author and the first female F-14 Tomcat Fighter Pilot in the U.S. Navy. Erica McGinnis, President and CEO of AIG Advisor Group; Jana W. Greer, President and CEO, Individual and Group Retirement, AIG Life and Retirement; and Lisa Hoyne, Senior Vice President, Marketing of AIG Advisor Group will also be featured speakers throughout the conference.
The conference will feature topical breakout sessions on key practice management and industry topics including: Taking the Bull by the Horns and Investing like a Woman; What Matters Most, Strategies to Build Financial Confidence for Today’s Women and Couples; From the Hill to the Street – An Insider’s Perspective on What’s Going on in Washington; and Financial Considerations for Same-Sex Couples. Furthermore, the event will feature interactive advisor roundtables. Notably, AIG Advisor Group has added an additional networking function, dinner on the San Diego Bay, to this year’s event.
AIG Advisor Group also has plans to highlight their recently launched Women FORWARD initiative at the W Forum. Previously known as Generation i, Women FORWARD is a comprehensive program that includes mentoring, training and networking initiatives designed to engage and inspire female advisors. The program is led by the Women’s Advisory Board, comprised of top-producing female financial advisors from each of AIG Advisor Group’s four broker-dealers: FSC Securities Corporation, Royal Alliance Associates, Inc., SagePoint Financial, Inc. and Woodbury Financial Services, Inc.
“We’re incredibly excited about this year’s women’s conference,” said McGinnis. “Our team has designed a fresh, new and exciting event dedicated to the success of female advisors. Women, as advisors and investors alike, are a growing demographic that we’re committed to supporting. We firmly believe that the W Forum and Women FORWARD can help these women find success in their endeavors.”
McGinnis, members of the Women’s Advisory Board, presidents of AIG Advisor Group’s four broker-dealers and participants in Women FORWARD will be available for interviews throughout the conference. For all media inquiries, please contact apowers(at)kcdpr(dot)com.
