Just when the weather is going to start getting cold again next fall, The State Theatre will bring some heat to downtown Kalamazoo with Australia’s Thunder from Down Under, an all-male revue.
Thunder from Down Under regularly performs at the Excalibur Hotel & Casino on the Las Vegas Strip, where it’s been voted best adult attraction and male revue for several years running, including “Best Dancers” by the Las Vegas newspaper Review-Journal. The Thunder from Down Under website reports that more than 6 million women have seen the male revue perform worldwide, having toured more than 15 countries including Russia, England, Canada, Europe, the United States and of course Australia since the troupe began 17 years ago.
Besides showing off chiseled male bodies, Thunder from Down Under is billed as including “seductive dance routines, cheeky humor and a boy-next-door charm that you won’t be able to resist.”
Thunder from Down Under will perform at the State Theatre Nov. 14, but tickets will be available beginning with a pre-sale running from 11 a.m. Feb. 25 to 11:45 p.m. Feb. 26. for best seating. Use the password PRWEB for early sales. Regular sales begin Feb. 27, 11 a.m. All seats are reserved. Tickets are available in person at the State Theatre’s ticket office or can be bought online through Ticketmaster.
The State Theatre first opened as a movie palace in downtown Kalamazoo in 1927, and has evolved into a popular concert venue for many years. Still retaining its movie-palace décor, the historic theatre has recently been undergoing a multi-million-dollar refurbishment to restore its original glory while improving comforts for performers and customers alike.
