DanceKidsUSA to audition new members for its "kids only" dance competition
Pompano Beach, FL (PRWEB) February 24, 2015 -- DanceKidsUSA is a new and unique Dance Competition that is run by KIDS. The announcer, backstage manager and all judges are ages 12-15. The kids run the entire competition, announcing the acts, judging the dancers and routines, and handing out awards.
For young dancers who compete each week, this offers a completely new perspective on their performances.
“We believe the competitive dance community will welcome this new approach to dance adjudication. We have spoken to many competing dance studios and everyone seems to be excited about the change” said Lynn Giordano, Director.
DanceKidsUSA kicked off the current season with a dance competition in Los Angeles, CA on February 7th. The event was filmed for TV and will be televised in mid-March. Additional competition dates are being planned, and a TV pilot is in the works.
The Company has scheduled auditions in various cities for experienced dancers age 11-15 who are interested in being judges, announcers or backstage managers. Candidates will be selected from dancers who compete in the World-Class Talent Experience dance competition and who perform Title Solo routines in the “Class” (advanced) division.
To register for the competition visit http://www.wctedance.com to find a competition event near you. You must perform in the competition in order to be considered – your performance is an important part of your audition. Be sure to bring along a headshot and resume. Standard entry fees will apply.
