Olea Networks Announces Release of Redesigned Quick Deployment Stand for Olea LINCWorks Products
Austin, Texas (PRWEB) February 25, 2015 -- Today Olea Networks, the leader in Edge communications and processing, announced the availability of its newly designed quick deployment telescoping stand for Olea LINCWorks products. The stand, developed in-house and unique in the marketplace, expands up to 18-feet and can be deployed in minutes.
The new stand—the Olea QDS-180—allows Olea LINCWorks devices to be positioned above the ground and obtain stronger signals from nearby cell towers. This also helps broadcast a Wi-Fi or mesh signal in densely populated areas—such as large-scale events—or in disaster recovery situations, where the local Internet infrastructure may be unavailable and rescue teams require a large circle of coverage to communicate.
The QDS-180 can hold multiple VAN-200 units to create an instant mesh network with complete redundancy. The VAN units can operate at different frequencies to create a more flexible, robust local area network.
The new stand was designed with multiple deployment scenarios in mind. For large-scale events, the 18-foot stand hovers over guests, ensuring it can draw a stronger signal from cellular towers while broadcasting a Wi-Fi or mesh signal over a broader range. For construction sites, hoisting the Olea LINCWorks units can help mitigate the reception and transmission issues often created by tall structures and heavy machinery.
For disaster recovery deployments, rescue crews can access distant cellular towers when local towers may be unavailable and can broadcast a Wi-Fi signal over a wider area to communicate. The simple nature of the stand means that in these applications and others, an immediate, tailored connectivity solution can be instantly deployed, allowing organizations to capitalize on the connectivity provided by Olea Networks instead of wasting time and energy setting up a local network.
By designing and developing the stand internally, Olea Networks ensures a product design-built to work seamlessly with other Olea Networks products, from the Olea LINCWorks devices themselves to high gain antennas, directional antennas, security cameras and solar panels. In addition, developing and sourcing locally has drastically reduced the cost of buying a stand from Olea Networks.
