AAMA Recognizes Milgard's Engineering Director as 'Outstanding Member' at 78th Annual Conference
Tacoma, Washington (PRWEB) February 23, 2015 -- Kim Flanary, Engineering Director at Milgard, is recognized by the American Architectural Manufacturers Association (AAMA) with its 2014 Outstanding Member award. AAMA recognized the contributions and achievements of its members and congratulated award winners at the 78th Annual Conference Awards Banquet held in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.
The Outstanding Member Award is given to an individual who has distinguished themselves in their work and dedication to the advancement of AAMA and the industry as a whole. Flanary was presented the award by the previous year’s winner, Steve Fronek of Apogee Enterprises.
“He deserves it!” said Rod Hershberger of PGT Industries. “He is involved and has his fingerprints everywhere at AAMA.”
Flanary, the immediate Past Chairman of the AAMA Board of Directors (2013-2014), maintains 49 active committee and task group memberships, bringing the total to 83 over the course of his many years of service.
“It was an amazing honor to be recognized by the members of AAMA for this award,” said Flanary. “I also want to acknowledge the Milgard Leadership team for allowing me to balance my Milgard responsibilities with my AAMA responsibilities. Milgard is committed to supporting AAMA and the Fenestration industry through standards development, product certification, marketing and education. This award would not have been possible without their support.”
Flanary has been with Milgard for over 21 years and currently serves as Director of Sustaining, Manufacturing & Quality Engineering.
