SAN FRANCISCO (PRWEB) February 23, 2015
Howard Holderness has joined international law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP. Based in the firm’s San Francisco office, Holderness joins the firm’s Litigation Practice, a group comprised of more than 600 litigators in 34 offices around the world.
"Howard is a key addition to our San Francisco office and the firm’s Litigation Practice,” said Charles Birenbaum, Greenberg Traurig’s chair of Northern California. “We have a growing presence throughout California, an award-winning litigation department, and now Howard, among the very top litigators in the state. Working closely with our litigators in Los Angeles, Silicon Valley, Sacramento, and Orange County, all cooperating as one team in a collaborative, unified firm, we provide elite quality and a level of value and relationships to clients that are unmatched."
“Howard is recognized as a leading litigator in California. We are thrilled that he will be part of our team to serve our diverse clients, here in the Bay Area, across the country, and around the globe,” said Michelle Ferreira, managing shareholder of Greenberg Traurig’s San Francisco office. “He is an exceptional attorney whose background and experience bolsters our litigation capabilities. He will be a significant asset to our clients and our firm.”
Holderness was a partner in Morgan Lewis' litigation practice in San Francisco. His practice focuses on complex commercial disputes, including fraud, breach of contract, antitrust, product liability, false advertising, unfair business practice, and class action claims.
“It is this platform, along with the firm’s presence and reputation that attracted me,” said Holderness. “Focusing on my clients’ growing global needs is a top priority.” Holderness’ clients have included some of Silicon Valley's largest technology companies as well as Asian-based businesses. Last month, Greenberg Traurig opened an office in Tokyo, its third office in Asia Pacific.
Holderness is consistently recognized in his field. He was named a class actions and torts “powerhouse” in BTI's Litigation Outlook 2014 report and, last year, The Daily Journal selected a case Holderness helped to litigate as one of its “Top Verdicts of 2013.” Howard earned his J.D. from University of Virginia School of Law and his B.A. from University of Virginia.
