Cubic is proud to provide advanced CTCs, training equipment and support to enable our allies’ relentless focus on readiness and training.
SAN DIEGO, Calif. (PRWEB) February 24, 2015
Cubic Corporation (NYSE: CUB) today announced it was awarded a contract valued at more than $65 million for two Combat Training Centers (CTCs) from a Middle East Army customer to include U.S. Army versions of I-MILES Tactical Vehicle System (I-MILES TVS), Instrumented-Multiple Integrated Laser Engagement System Individual Weapon Systems (I-MILES IWS) and the TVS adapter kit to enable simulation of combat vehicles. These solutions will enhance the training capability by providing state-of-the art Tactical Engagement Simulation (TES) systems, an advanced data collection system for video, voice and other training data that is not currently available in the region.
“Cubic is proud to provide advanced CTCs, training equipment and support to enable our allies’ relentless focus on readiness and training. It is our goal to provide the most effective and affordable training solutions by driving innovation into the areas most critical to our customers,” said Bill Toti, president of Cubic Global Defense.
Cubic’s CTC solutions enable commanders and soldiers to rehearse combat skills and tactics, and learn safely in a live battlefield setting. These devices are used during live force-on-force training, and provide the critical real-time digital, audio and video data feedback for forces to achieve and sustain mission readiness. Cubic’s MILES solutions enable small and large group training from a custom squadron to a battalion. The systems are also compatible with legacy equipment, ensuring previous investments are preserved and long term cost of ownership is lowered.
I-MILES IWS uses laser emitters that attach to military weapons and on-body sensors to replicate combat and records data for later review. I-MILES TVS, the vehicular adaptation of Cubic’s man-worn Individual Weapons System, equip tactical vehicles with lasers, sensors and electronics. The I-MILES TVS solution will also include Cubic’s “Shooter” CVS kit, to enable superior weapon simulation and casualty assessment accuracy for vehicles and fixed structure.
Under the new contract, Cubic will manage and support the logistics of the centers for three years following installation and acceptance of the centers by the customer. Cubic will also provide on-site staff to help develop and manage exercises, facilitate after action reviews and provide immediate assistance for hardware and software management.
