Connerton Teams up with Operation Helping Hand
Land O Lakes, FL (PRWEB) February 26, 2015 -- In November, runners from all over Tampa showed their support for the military by participating in The New Town of Connerton’s 5K, 10K and Kids’ Fun Run. The Veteran’s Day run benefitted Operation Helping Hand, a project of the Tampa Chapter of Military Officers Association of America (MOAA). Operation Helping Hand is an organization dedicated to helping families of wounded and injured soldiers during their stay in Tampa Bay.
On Wednesday February 19th, Operation Helping Hand at Bay Cities Bank in Lutz hosted a networking breakfast with the Central Pasco Chamber of Commerce. At the breakfast, a $1,000 check from Hayman Woods, Connerton’s developer, was presented to Captain Bob Silah, USN (Ret), Chairman of Operation Helping Hand.
Connerton was happy with the outcome of this year’s run and was proud to support the service members who have served our country. They anticipate the run to grow in the future, with some service members even participating in next year’s run.
