WellCare Hosts Welcome Room Grand Opening in Jacksonville’s Murray Hill Community

WellCare Health Plans, Inc. (NYSE: WCG), a leading provider of managed care services for government-sponsored health care programs, invites the Jacksonville community to the grand opening of its newly-opened Welcome Room located in the Murray Hill community. WellCare’s Welcome Rooms are neighborhood health care information, education and sales centers that are open to the public and staffed by WellCare associates who can answer questions about Medicare and Medicaid. They offer a comfortable environment where visitors can ask questions about health plans, find out if they are eligible for extra benefits, get online to search for more information and enroll in a WellCare health plan.

The event, which takes place on Saturday, Feb. 28 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., will offer valuable community resource information from dozens of organizations, including Silver Sneakers, the Jacksonville Blood Mobile, Farm Share, Operation New Hope and the Jacksonville Urban League. It will also feature a ribbon cutting and free children’s activities, entertainment, games and snacks.

Local leaders including State Representative Mia L. Jones (D-14); Doyle Carter, Jacksonville City Councilman, District 12; Stephanie Deimling, Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce and Glorious Johnson, former Jacksonville City Councilwoman, will be in attendance.

“The WellCare Welcome Room provides Jacksonville residents with quick access to quality, easy to understand healthcare information,” said Rep. Jones. “We thank WellCare for investing in the long-term sustainable health of our community.”
